Deal close: Club tables £64m bid for Arsenal target today

Over the recent weeks, and prior to the arrival of Lucas Perez, Arsenal have been linked with many, oh so many strikers, and German international Julian Draxler was one of the many.

Arsene Wenger seems to be happy with the move for our new Spaniard Perez, and didn’t choose to push ahead with the deal for Draxler, and now it’s thought that PSG will be trying to forge a deal on transfer deadline day, or as us Arsenal fans call it – Wednesday.

The report from the Sun claims that PSG are set to table a whopping £64 million bid to lure the highly-rated Draxler during the final hours of this frankly ridiculous, summer transfer window.

It was reported earlier this month by Transfer Market Web  that Arsenal were trying to get for the 22-year-old ace for a deal close to £43million, but The Sun now claim that PSG are trying to shoe horn in the deal.

It’s expected that Draxler will follow the footsteps of Bas Dost who also departed from Wolfsburg to join Sporting Lisbon on Sunday.

Draxler already has 24 international caps and has scored 23 goals and 24 assists in the Bundesliga.

I have watched Draxler play on many occasions and I personally think he has the potential to become as good as Robin van Persie as the spearhead of PSG’s attack.
