Wenger wants to finally seal a deal to bring midfield ace to Arsenal

With just a few days left of the transfer window, there’s still talk of another player coming to The Emirates, despite Wenger’s busy summer already.

With Perez and Mustafi to be announced in the next day or two, and with the other signings of Granit Xhaka, Takumo Asano, Rob Holding and Nwakali Kelechi it seemed as though Wenger was done, but there’s still talk of another midfielder coming in.

Despite signing the aforementioned players, filling the gaps which have been left by injury and players leaving, Wenger is still thought to be on the look-out to complete one final deal if the rumours are to be believed.

Paraguayan international; Miguel Almiron’s dazzling foot work has caught the attention of the French manager and could complete a move to The Emirates before the transfer window closes on Wednesday according to Tuttomercatoweb.

They claim that talks are underway for the highly-rated midfielder, a £9.4 million bid has been tabled by Arsenal but his current club; Lanus value the player at around £11.1m.

Almiron, 22, forced his way into the Paraguayan club Cerro Porteno’s senior team and then left to join Lanus in Argentina, where he scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist in his 12 league appearances last season.
