Deal done: Arsenal complete transfer of highly-rated player

With the news that Riyad Mahrez has signed a new deal to stay at Leicester, Arsenal fans are further angered that another day has ticked by with no signings.

Arsene Wenger while still not signing anyone for weeks, has, to be fair, done a great job of clearing the decks and getting rid of some of the deadwood, with the departures of super-senior players such as Arteta, Flamini and Rosicky, all who left The Emirates at the end of last season.

Full back Tafari Moore can now be added to the list of players that will be leaving, as a report on the official Arsenal website confirmed today that the highly-rated youngster has joined FC Utrecht of Eredivisie on a season long loan with the Dutch club.

The London born ace recently signed a contract with Arsenal which is expires in 2018 but the club has decided to send him on loan to gain more experience.

The 19-year-old ace joined Arsenal when he was just 12-years-old, and now he will be sent on loan to test himself in another country. The Gunners head of Acadmey Andries Jonker has made good use of his contacts in Holland to secure the deal for Moore.

Utrecht’s technical manager Erik ten Hag claims the club knows Arsenal plans and thinks that the deal will benefit both parties, he said:

We know the plans of Arsenal and see this as a win-win situation for all parties. FC Utrecht has a young defender with offensive qualities in the house.

Moore has the pace and ability to support his team mates, and has already been compared to Dani Alves, and we’d like to wish the youngster good luck with the move, as I know he’s a keen reader of ArsenalShorts*.

*possibly a small lie.
