Wenger wants to finally land 20 goal hitman – this will delight fans

Arsenal are set to hijack West Ham’s £26m deal for striker Carlos Bacca from Italian club AC Milan as The Gunners manager Arsene Wenger desperately wants to sign a striker this summer, according to a recent report from talksport.

The French manager has already completed the signing of Swiss international midfielder Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach and as also completed the signing of J-league youngster Takuma Asano but the North London outfit are still in search of a striker.

So many top strikers have been linked Arsenal with likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Argentine Gonzalo Higuain and Spaniard Alvaro Morata over recent weeks but it appear Wenger has to now turn his attention to other, more diverse options.

With the Champions League winners Real Madrid rejecting Chelsea’s bid for Morata, it shows the La Liga giant are not willing to sell the Spaniard and with the news that Napoli are refusing to budge on their £78.5m Higuain valuation things are getting increasingly desperate for Wenger as his search continues.

The 29-year-old ace will be hoping to continue his dazzling performances in Serie A last season, netting 20 goals in just 42 matches and helping AC Milan finish 7th.

Bacca recently claimed he will leave the club in search to play Champions League  football  and as West Ham did not qualify for the Champions League, this could mean Arsenal are in pole position to land the Colombian.
