Arsenal have all the capabilities to win the Premier League title this season despite the setbacks they have suffered, according to Thomas Vermaelen.
The Belgian defender played in the weekend's victory over Stoke City, a game that was marred by a horrific injury to Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
He will be out of action for a long period of time as a result of the tackle from Ryan Shawcross and is the latest addition to the list of injuries that Arsene Wenger has had to deal with this season.
Elsewhere at the weekend, leaders Chelsea's loss to Manchester City mean Arsenal are now firmly embroiled in the Premier League title battle, now sitting only three points behind their West London rivals after being written out of the hunt only a few weeks ago.
Vermaelen told Arsenal TV Online that his side are now prepared both physically and mentally for the challenges that will await them between now and the end of the season.
