Nicklas Bendtner is happy for his Arsenal team-mates to take the goalscoring limelight if it means the Gunners win the Premier League title at the end of the season. The Danish striker was roundly criticised after he missed a number of chances in the recent game against Burnley.
However, the 22-year-old got a Champions League hat-trick against Porto and then followed this up by netting the winning goal against Hull City deep into injury time.
As a result of the latest win, Arsenal sit third in the Premier League, level on points with Chelsea and two behind leaders Manchester United. The Champions League football odds also suggest Arsenal are in with a chance of claiming a famous double.
Bendtner claims results are more important than personal glory over the run-in to the end of the season and he would rather everyone chipped in with goals to bring silverware to the Emirates.
"I am happy to be scoring again after [the Burnley game] when everything went wrong," said the Dane.
"But the three points was the most important thing, whomever would have scored. Now we need to win the rest of our games so we can reach our targets."
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger recently singled out Emmanuel Eboue for praise, stating the Ivory Coast international is developing into a great player who can offer the side options across defence and midfield over the remainder of the season. Eboue will also be hoping to carry his good form into this season's World Cup.
Ivory Coast will face Portugal, Brazil and North Korea in their group and the World Cup online betting suggests they will have a tough time qualifying for the second round.
