Cesc Wins World Cup... RVP Doesn't... News...
< Previous | 12th July 2010 | Next story >
World Cup. Done.
So, once again, despite not being Spurs, we have a World Cup winner in our midst. Cesc 'The Cesc' Fabregas won the World Cup last night for Spain, with a vital assist in extra time, to break the hearts of the Netherlandese Dutchoids, Robin van Persie being one of them. You might have heard but Spain won 1-0, and in the other game, with no Arsenal involvement, Uruguay lost 3-2 to the Germans on Saturday night to take 3rd place...
Nice pics here from Arsenal.com... Now onto bigger and better things... Barnet on Saturday, woohoo!!
You'll Never Walcott Loan...
Those crazy kids at Arsenal Mania want Walcott loaned out next season... I only mention it cos my headline is funny.
No King Cole / Gourcuff Move...
Sir Wenger has more or less ruled out a move for Joey Cole. In an interview over the weekend, he said: "I’m not in the market for a offensive or creative midfielder, we’ve got enough players in this area..." Wenger has also ruled out a move for Yoann Gourcuff, saying that he's not been contacted, and we're just not interested, so there...
No Eduardo Replacement - REPORT...
ArsenalShorts is under fire as there has been no move to replace Eduardo the crab this weekend. You may remember Eduardo died after shedding his skin and claws, but now the fish tank is looking healthy and ArsenalShorts issued this statement: "The fish tank looks healthier, no more plants being eaten and no more dead fish, so we feel there is no need to replace the crab at this time. However, we are always in the market for new additions, and should the right crab come up in the future, we'd be interested..."
French Beefs Up...
Laurent Koscielny has been speaking about the challenge to adapt to the Premier League following his recent move to The Arsenal. the defender said: "I need time to adapt. Nothing is for sure so far. I believe I will have to work hard, doing a lot of body-building exercises to resist Premier League forwards. I am not strongly built, but I make up for it with some cleverness, positioning and anticipation. I believe the manager has appreciated my state of mind, my concentration on the game..."
Still not giving the time of day to the Cesc to Barcelona stories, however in summary... Wenger didn't want to meet with Sandra, Joan or any of the other old ladies who run the Spaniards. Cesc has apparently bought a house in St. Albans, to the tune of £2m, so my thought is, he's going nowhere with Arsenal... hold on, lets rephrase that... Also, talk of Almunia going to Athletico Madrid...
More later most probably*.
* another lie.
