Black Cats Shot Down by Clinical Gunners...

< Previous | February 21st 2010 | Next story >

This report is being bought to you live, in Sex and the City style from my hotel room in Sydney. Beer on the go instead of a Cosmopolitan, and a half cut Gooner instead of saggy faced old goat Sarah Jessica Parker, balcony/window sill in both cases - no hairy moles here though...

Arsenal 2 - 0 Sunderland...
Super striker Nicklas Bendtner was back on the scoresheet on Saturday afternoon, as we got back to winning ways following the disa-Porto-ment in Portugal. Great work from Eboue, and a mazy run set up an offside Bendtner but it wasn't until the 92 minute that we finished off the game. Fabregas was up-ended by Anton Ferdinand on the edge of the box, but the Spaniard picked himself up to finish the game with a penalty...

Man United went the way of Chelsea at Everton, losing to the Toffees. Unfortunately Chelsea didn't go the way of Wolves when we played them, they won, but the weekends results now mean we are just 2 points behind Man United, but still 6 off the pikey Chelsea league steamrollers. Top4Tottenham didn't lose on Saturday cos they play on Sunday.

In a nutshell, Derby have signed youngster Gilles Sunu on loan for the rest of the season. Nigel Clough swooped for the player who he can see doing a job for the Rams...

RVP may return in May?

Soup-er Sol Campbell...
...reckons he can play for another 3 years despite being slightly overweight and 49.

He said: "I think I can keep myself fit and play top football for the next two to three years, this season and at least another two. I'm here for six months, and if something happens, something happens.

If not I'll have to look elsewhere. The manager (AW) has told me I've got to the end of the season and he's looking for other players, but I want to play as many games as possible for Arsenal and help them to win something..." glwtp.

Porto 2-1 Arsenal...
