The lack of striking options at Arsenal has had a negative effect on the type of football that they can play, according to Andriy Arshavin.
In recent weeks the Russian midfielder has been forced to play as an emergency striker as injuries to Robin van Persie, Nicklas Bendtner and Eduardo have limited Arsene Wenger's options.
With Bendtner and Eduardo approaching fitness again, Arshavin thinks this could help his side as Arsenal's brand of flowing and attractive football has been hampered when he has been the lone front man.
During this time, Arsenal have struggled to compete in the Premier League title race. They are now six points behind leaders Chelsea after the Gunners were beaten by their West London rivals and Manchester United in successive games.
