Reserves Win... Frimpong/Nasri Out... Team News... More...

< Previous | 20th August 2010 | Next story >

Loads of news today, not just because we've been Arshavin slacking for the last few days...

Frimpong Hell...
Emmanuel Frimpong has done his cruciate ligament and will on out for months it was revealed yesterday. He did it in training and le Boss said: "That is a massive blow, I rate him highly and I still have a lot of faith in him but we will miss him for six to nine months..." Good luck to the Frimp...

Other injury news, and on a slightly more positive note, Johan Djourou, Alex Song, and Denis Neilsen should all be back, and Cesc Fabregas could also return to face Blackpool in some form or another after a crippling SIX WEEKS after his gruelling 33 minutes in South Africa. RVP who came on as a sub v Liverpool last weekend should start as things start getting back to normal. Other long terms absentees like Nicklas Bendtner, Tomas Rosicky and Aaron Ramsey all remain as the aforemention absentees of the long term variety.

Father Ted fans, click these red words...

Keeper Latest...
Looks like we've had another £2m bid turned down for Mark Schwarzer by Fulham. Nothing more on Shay Given, but we are supposedly after this French defender fella, Sebastien Squillaci from Sevilla. The Spaniards have said that our valuation isn't enough, so we'll wait and see who blinks first. My money is on Eduardo.

To Hull and Back...
Jay Simpson has moved to Hull City on a permanent three year deal for £1.5m, which we can used to pay this months hospital/Doctors fees down the Emirates...

Nasri Out...
As I'm sure you've heard by now Nasri's annual injury break is upon us, he's out for a month after picking up an injury in a tackle with Steven Gerrard against Liverpool last weekend. He's had to have an op on his knee. Looking on the brightside, there is an unecessary international break after the Blackpool game, so fingers crossed he'll be back quick smart...

Wellington Boots the Reserves to Glory...
Wellington and JET scored in Dublin to beat their Man United counterparts last night in the Reserve Team Platinum Emirates Cup... As always, we'll let those lovely Young Guns tell you the real details...

William, It Was Really Nothing...
William Gallas might be going to Spurs. Well good luck with that...
