Amazing scenes at the Emirates over the weekend, as the mighty Arsenal retained their/our made up trophy, played at our home ground, against teams we choose with made up rules to ensure we finish top of the group every season. It's fast becoming the new Charity Shield, and following a draw with AC Milan on Saturday, we beat Celtic 3-2 on Sunday to win the illustrious title with some good and promising performances from the Frimpster, Little Jack, Koscielny and others (including Manuel Almunia it has be said...)

In other less betterer news, Nicklas Bendtners groin problem just won't go away, and he will definitely miss the start of the season with what le Boss described a few weeks ago as a 'small injury'. Bendtner said: "It is a difficult injury and hard to say when I'll be back, but hopefully I'll be training as soon as possible. We haven't set a date yet, we're taking it easy..."
With Legia Warsaw, our final friendly looming large next week, its more than a little scary that Wenger has said: "Against Legia Warsaw you will see the players we saw [over the weekend in the Emirates Cup]. I believe Song will be short, you have a little chance to see Denilson and a very little chance to see Diaby, but Fabregas and Van Persie will not be ready..." GRRR...
