In a game which looked like an end of season clash, it was a bit of a damp squib in the end. After it was built up as the return of Adebayor, even that was nullified with the news that he was on the bench. He did come on for Patrick Vieira in the second half and received boo's aplenty and was also dumped on his mercernary arris after a hefty tackle from van Persie. We are all but confirmed as third but its not cut and dried just yet, we need to get a point from our last two games or hope that Spurs v Man City is a draw....

Racist Britain speaks, and two Englishers won the big awards at the Player of the Year ceremony. Wayne Rooney won the player of the year award, while James Milner (39) won the Young Player of the Year award - look out for Des'ree winning best newcomer at the Brits again, just ahead of Kate Bush. Our boys Cesc Fabregas and Thomas Vermaelen were in the PFA team of the year...

RVP insists there was nothing in his challenge that left Adebayor on the turf on Saturday. Many thought it was retaliation for the heinous tackle in Eastlands from the Togonator, which left van Persie needing stitches, but RVP denies it: "I've not spoken to him. I don't care about him because I'm just busy with my own team. There was nothing in it. In football you make tackles. That was one of them..."
